A reception marking the opening of the "Andrew Johnson: Heritage, Legacy and Our Constitution" exhibit at Tusculum College will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 31.
The reception will be held at the President Andrew Johnson Museum and Library on the school's campus.
Monday's reception is being hosted by the Andrew Johnson Heritage Association and the museums of Tusculum College.
The exhibit will open to the public on Tuesday, April 1 at 9 a.m.
The event is one of several planned this year to recognize the 200th anniversary of the birth of the nation's 17th president whose hometown was Greeneville.
Living history reenactors Chris Small and Daniel Luther will be at Monday's reception as Lincoln and Johnson, respectively.
Johnson, a Democrat, became vice president after he and Lincoln, a Republican, won the presidential election in 1864, running on a National Union Party ticket. Upon Lincoln's assassination in April 1865, Johnson became president.
