A large crowd attended a reception Monday for the opening of the new exhibit, “Andrew Johnson: Heritage, Legacy, and Our Constitution,” at the President Andrew Johnson Museum and Library at Tusculum College. Among those present were Chris Small, portraying former President Abraham Lincoln, and Daniel Luther, portraying then-Vice President (later, President) Andrew Johnson. Shown, from left, are Billie Roberts, a founding member of the Nathanael Greene Museum; Kendra Hinkle, back to camera, museum technician at the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site; Earl Fletcher, director of the Nathanael Greene Museum; Luther as Andrew Johnson; Marilyn duBrisk, artist-in-residence at Tusculum College; and Small as Abraham Lincoln. The reception was hosted by the Andrew Johnson Heritage Association and the Museums of Tusculum College. The exhibit is part of the year-long bicentennial celebration of President Johnson’s birth.
